swift payments , letter of credits , incoming and outgoing swift payments treasury foreign payments inward and outward

POSITION INFO:

Our banking client in Sandton is urgently recruiting for a Foreign exchange Officer . Must have minimum 3 -4 years foreign exchange experience (Inward and outward payments )within the banking environment .

Minimum Requirements:

Matric or Equivalent;
Must have captured all Foreign Exchange transactions on the Banks system -
3 – 4 years in a payments environment with exposure to both local and international settlements

PASA Immediate Settlement Rules
Accounting and reconciliations concepts

RE 5 an advantage
In and outward payment experience
Must have an excellent command of the English language
Minimum 3-4 Years in ta Treasury/Foreign Exchange environment
Must Be ITC and Criminal Clear

Skills

Capture Foreign Inward Payments as per BOP form or as per SWIFT received
Capture Foreign Outward Payments as per BOP form.

Capture Letter of Credits as per application form.
Lodgment of documents received for import/export Letters of Credit and Forward Bill of Collection (FBC)
Capture manual entries on T24 and Enterprise.
Manual matching of MT300’s timeously.
Confirm daily Interbank placements/withdrawals of funds.
Reconcile ZAR automated inwards to BOT reports.
Processing of manual SWIFTS when required i.e. MT103’s, MT202, MT199 etc
Compliance
Be vigilant when capturing transactions in an effort to identify any Anti- money laundering or suspicious transactions.
Adherence to Banks Anti-Money Laundering procedures.

Daily Operational Tasks

Filing of daily work onto shared folder under client profile.
Liaising with dealers and querying MT300’s not matched or where there are discrepancies.
