SUMMARY:
An Office Automation/Telecoms company based in Marlboro/Johannesburg are seeking an experienced and hands-on Copier/Printer Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate must have proven experience working on HP, Sharp, and Konica Minolta printers and copiers. Experience in CCTV and PABX/VoIP systems will be highly advantageous.
POSITION INFO:
Printer / Copier Support
- Diagnose, repair, and service HP, Sharp, and Konica Minolta printers/copiers
- Perform routine maintenance, fault-finding, and part replacements
- Install and configure printers, scanners, drivers, and print management solutions
- Provide professional on-site technical support and troubleshooting
- Configure printer and network settings, including:
- IP addresses
- Gateways
- DNS
- Subnet masks
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN connectivity, switches, routers)
- Accurately complete service reports and job cards
Role / Function: PABX & Telephony Support- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of PABX and VoIP systems
- Perform basic to intermediate fault finding on telephony systems and endpoints
- Configure IP handsets, extensions, and basic call routing
- Support customer environments using:
- VoIP Systems
- Yeastar P-Series and S-Series systems (preferred)
- 3CX platforms (preferred)
- Assist with SIP trunk setup, endpoint registration, and basic VoIP troubleshooting
- Liaise with senior engineers where advanced telephony issues arise
Additional Technical Responsibilities- Assist with CCTV installations and maintenance when required
- Provide on-site support for networking and device connectivity issues
Minimum Requirements- Proven experience as a printer/copier technician
- Must have hands-on experience with:
- Valid driver’s license (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of networking and printer connectivity
- Willing to travel and work on-site
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Advantageous Skills & Experience- CompTIA A+ certification
- CompTIA Network+ certification
- Practical experience with PABX / VoIP systems
- Exposure to or hands-on experience with:
- Yeastar PABX systems
- 3CX platforms
- SIP, VoIP, and IP handset configuration experience
- CCTV installation and configuration experience
- General IT support background
