SUMMARY:
Nutrition Agronomist - Durban
POSITION INFO:
Role:
Assist in developing the company’s nutritional strategy and serve the operational side of the business with sound agronomic input.
Determine agronomic strategies that are aligned with the crop advisor
Develop relationships with close channel partners
Develop relationships and an understanding of how our crop advisors work in certain areas
Compile and distribute reports about crop performance and agronomic practises to clients and crop advisors as required.
Provide in field assessments of on-farm issues that are linked to the performance of healthy crops
Requirements:
BSc degree in Agricultural, Plant Physiology, Soil Science or similar.
At least 7 years’ experience in agronomy, preferably within KZN.
Agronomic knowledge and experience in crop protection, fertilizer or seed markets will be a major advantage.
Experience in trial work and evaluation an advantage
This role involves significant travel around KZN
