SUMMARY:
Network Engineer based in Gauteng

POSITION INFO:

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage change, constantly reviewing design and responding to optimization change

• Monitor and control client network to ensure its day to day stability

• Manage problems and assist with support functions

• Contribute to the research and assessment of new technologies as well as customer needs

• Monitor service levels and contribute to the development of standards and specifications

• Test systems and keep records of technical details on network design, implementation plans and capital projects

• Support users and support staff

• Attend to IMACD''s (Installation, Modification, Addition, Change, and Delete)

• Provide network administration and support

• Integrate systems

Desired Experience & Qualification

For Senior Network Administrator:

Qualifications Required:

• Senior Certificate (essential)

• CCNP or similar

• Extreme Networks Certification

• SDWAN (Silver Peaks)

• 5 - 7 Years Networking experience

• Routing and Switching experience

• Wireless and Voice Experience

• Network monitoring and fault resolution

For Junior Network Administrator:

• Senior Certificate (essential)

• CCNA or similar

• Extreme Networks Certification (advantageous)

• SDWAN

• 2 Years Networking experience

• Routing and Switching experience

• Wireless and Voice Experience

• Network monitoring and fault resolution

Competencies (both Senior and Junior):
