We''re working with a Scottish Tech company who provide a critical service to rural communities across the Highlands.
They are in an excellent position for growth after a recent acquisition which will only serve to strengthen their offering nationwide. You will be joining a small and close-knit team who take pride in their work; so, we''re on the lookout for those not just with the technical skills but with a great attitude to customer service too.
You will get involved in a range of exciting project work from day one in which you will design and implement tailored network solutions to meet customer requests.
What will I need?
You will need a good knowledge of TCP/IP Networking and hands-on experience with MikroTik / Ubiquiti hardware. You will act as a subject matter expert on all networking issues and ensure the optimisation of services, processes and components.
As you settle into the role, you''ll begin to work more autonomously so the ability to handle your own workload and manage your time effectively is key.
As well as having technical ability it is important that you are focussed on providing the best outcome for the service user. You will be required to provide a range of critical support to a wide range of customer requests so experience of working to strict SLA''s is needed.
Key Skills and Experience:
** Previous 1st / 2nd line Network Support experience
** Good knowledge of PPPoE, BGP & OSPF
** Wide Area Network (WAN) knowledge
** Ubiquiti / MikroTik Routers
** Demonstrable experience of configuring and supporting large-scale networks
Where will I be working?
The company is based in Ardgay but you''ll be required to visit various sites in the region so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is a must! On the installation side, there''s times you''ll be working at heights so it''s important that you''re comfortable with this.
Salary & Benefits
The salary on offer for this role is between £26,000 to £29,000 dependent on experience - on top of this there is a company pension scheme and plenty of ongoing training.
