Network Administrator / Helpdesk Leader

SUMMARY:
Our client is a well established software development firm based in Randburg. They currently require the services of a Network administrator with Hyper-V experience to support and maintain the group/s infrastructure and desktop support as well as run the IT support helpdesk.

POSITION INFO:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Running and keeping helpdesk SLA’s, supporting desktop users in all groups, patching and maintenance for all servers and endpoints, monitoring performance, security compliance, asset management, procurement and stock control as well as day to day Active Directory management.

REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience network administration (5 years minimum);

Proven ability to monitor and maintain network and server infrastructure;

Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Virtualization;

Strong ability on troubleshooting;

Sound decision making, planning and organisational skills;

Ability to manage a helpdesk;

Proficiency in Microsoft current operating systems and technologies;

A+;

N+;

MCSE / MCITP;

Hyper-V

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Strong knowledge and experience on Active directory and windows sever.

Solid working understanding of Hyper-V and cluster failover;

Strong working understanding on all network environment and protocols.  

Helpdesk management.

Desktop support.

Patch management Microsoft System Centre, OpenManage or other solutions.

MacAfee EPO

Windows firewall.

Strong Server administration understanding of all general roles.
