POSITION INFO:

A well-established IT Firm (Insurance Industry) is seeking an experienced Network Administrator / Helpdesk Leader to join their team in Rosebank area.

Will be reporting to the Head of Infrastructure.

Job brief

We are looking for a Network administrator with Hyper-V experience to support and maintain our group/s infrastructure and desktop support as well as run the IT support helpdesk. You will be responsible for running and keeping helpdesk SLA’s, supporting desktop users in all groups, patching and maintenance for all servers and endpoints, monitoring performance, security compliance, asset management, procurement and stock control as well as day to day Active Directory management.

Minimum requirements:

• Proven experience network administration (5 years minimum);
• Proven ability to monitor and maintain network and server infrastructure;
• Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Virtualization;
• Strong ability on troubleshooting;
• Sound decision making, planning and organisational skills;
• Ability to manage a helpdesk;
• Proficiency in Microsoft current operating systems and technologies;
• A+;
• N+;
• MCSE / MCITP;
• Hyper-V

Duties will include but is not limited to:

• Manage helpdesk;
• Provide desktop support when needed (all groups);
• Monitor network and server infrastructure;
• Patch management on all domains;
• Ensure all tasks follow SOP and governance;
• Procurement of equipment for the all groups;
• Stock control;
• Asset management;
• Network and firewall support;
• Server cluster health and performance checks;
• Access control
