National Returns Manager (JHB)

SUMMARY:

Major Retailer seeks an Industrial Engineering type Returns Manager to analyze, identify and solve workflow processes in Reverse Logistics.

POSITION INFO:

• Responsible for the overall returns process on a national basis
• Oversee the returns, receiving, evaluations and sorting of all customer returns
• Manage all exceptions and TAT
• Planning of all resources to meet daily targets
• Staff training and development
• Optimise product flow and manage FIFO
• Manage and ensure that returns department is well organised and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business
• Implement improvement processes and maintain policies and procedures and systems to minimise costs and maximize working capital
• Adhere and support the company drive towards 5S (housekeeping)
• Manage and implement the Returns Policy and ensure that it is strictly adhered to, from the time the returned stock arrives back at the warehouse.
• Ensure KPIs are achieved at both DC (JHB and CPT)
• Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies, and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved
• Reconcile returns flow to ensure all products area accounted for
• Ensure the returns evaluators are trained and that they accurately follow company policies
• Responsible for the overall returns stock accuracy
• Effective leadership and direction for the operations team through involvement and communication
• Measure and manage staff through formal staff appraisals, development, coaching, and disciplinary procedures
• Conform to all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards and legislation as set out by the business and the OHS Act
• Drive continuous improvement measures within your department
• Reconcile all customer returns by reason code
• Responsible for managing all the returns queries and Zendesk tickets

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering and/or Supply Chain
• 5 years + in a Management Role
• Proven Production Management experience
• Warehouse Management Systems knowledge including Reverse Logistics
• Extensive Inventory management
• Systems knowledge (WMS, ERP systems)
• Strong mathematical ability
• Strong Admin skills
• Ability to manage Large Group of Staff
• Extensive DC Operational experience
