Motor Vehicle Technician - East London - Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:
A Motor Dealership in East London is looking for a Motor Vehicle Technician to join their Service Department.

Requirements:

• MUST be a qualified Vehicle Technician
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years post apprentice experience in the Automotive Industry
• Valid drivers license
• Strong information technology background
• Must have own transport & own quality tools
• Mechanical and Electrical skills

Responsibilities:

• Servicing and repairing of all vehicles booked into the dealership
• Diagnose and report findings accurately
• Maintain and update diagnostic tools
• Request relevant and correct parts from the parts sales executive
• Notify management of any service-related issues
• Contacting clients and scheduling bookings of vehicles
• Checking-in of customers and follow-ups with clients
• Update job cards, ensuring that it contains accurate information and detailed information on the service/repairs
• Plan and order parts required in advance as per vehicle identification
• Ability to plan production
• Maintaining good communication at head office and with customers
• After Service follow-ups
• Understanding of costing of job cards
