Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting & Learning (MERL) Advisor - 7 month contract

SUMMARY:

We are seeking Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting & Learning (MERL) Advisors for a 7-month contract vacancy based in various areas of the Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
 

• Degree in Public Health or equivalent in health field, and strong project management skills
• NPO experience advantageous
• 5+ years M&E management and monitoring experience in the heath field
• Operational and strategic MEL systems management experience
• Valid driver’s license and good computer literacy
• Knowledge of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout process
• 7-month contract position

• Ensure effective use and constant flow of data and in formation in all directions
• Ensure all different information systems used for vaccine logistics are optimally functional
• Assist team in understanding data and information flows
• Train and onboard users of the EVDS
• Work closely with vaccine teams to ensure all end users have access to use EVDS
• Troubleshoot and respond to all EVDS glitches and inquiries
• Enhance, augment & adapt existing IT / IS infrastructure to support and facilitate vaccination roll out MEL systems
• Monitoring reporting compliance on EVDS and improve reporting compliance
• Candidates required in the following areas : Amathole District, Nelson Mandela Bay, Buffalo City, OR Tambo, Chris Hani, Alfred Nzo, Sarah Baartman & Joe Gqabi – please indicate preference on application
