Mining Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A well established mining company has an opening for a new role of a Mining Engineering. We are looking for an individual who has the ambitious to succeed and well experienced. Candidates who qualify for this position can apply directly from the website.

Duties & Responsibilities

Mining Engineer’s responsibilities:

Assessing the feasibility and the potential for commercial benefit of new sites.
Ascertaining extraction risks.
Producing models or plans for possible mining sites.
Planning and implementing extraction systems.
Using specialist computer applications to maximize planning and production.
Monitoring and evaluating underground performance.
Managing construction projects.
Ensuring that operations comply with health and safety requirements.
Making sure that the equipment used is safe.
Experience in managing budgets.
Experience in training and supervising staff.
Experience in liaising with and advising managerial and technical staff.
Experience and knowledge in analyzing data.
Ability to keeping records.
Knowledge and experience in costing and organizing supplies.

Requirements:

Matric is essential.
Relevant Diploma/Degree in the field.
Must have Mine Manager''s Certificate.
Have at least 5 years experience as a Mining Engineer.
Must have 5 years underground mining experience in a trackless mobile mining environment.
Must have at least 5 years experience and knowledge in Planning software such as (Studio 5D Planner, EPS ect).
Must be confident.
Have problem-solving and analytical skills.
Have organization and efficiency skills
Be able to work independently and in a team.
Have strong technical skills.
Have managerial and interpersonal skills.
IT skills will be advantageous.
