At least 10 years’ experience in Mining Industry ,5 years’ experience as a supervisor, 3 years as Superintendent, 5 years’ experience. Heavy Mobile Equipment/Trackless mining management

KPAs

Prepared mine face stripping area

• Review monthly/weekly mine plan (received from mine planning function) for mine face stripping requirements in line with mining requirements • Conduct weekly/daily site visits with mine planning function to identify exact area for mine face stripping • Compile mine face stripping plan to clean identified mine face stripping area within agreed time • Monitor progress against the mine face stripping plan • Identify deviations and re-allocate resources.where required. Identify deviations and re-allocate resources where required. • Maintain ready to mine buffer area

Rehabilitated mined area

 • Compile mine rehabilitation plan to rehabilitate mined area within agreed time • Monitor progress against the rehabilitation plan • Identify deviations and re-allocate resources where required

• Implement safety awareness and reinforce safe working practices through regular safety meetings, on-the-job safety training and modeling the relevant safety behaviour • Monitor area for potential risks and take appropriate action to prevent and manage risks • Drive compliance to client Health, Safety & Environment, and environmental licensing & permitting requirements by implementing appropriate practices, standards and procedures • Monitor and follow-up on safety processes and measures implemented • Initiate and drive the relevant safety audits and investigations • Proactively recommend improvements on safety policies.

• Balance, manage and control resources across different disciplines through resource plans executed in line with the constraints of annual planning cycles, operational specifications and organisational resource plans

• Budget by weighing up costs, risks and potential returns on expenditure related to workforce, materials, equipment, infrastructure and technology • Keep within budget constrains for an annual period and minimise expenditure • Effectively manage contractor/ service provider relationships, and budgets associated with special projects • Effectively utilise existing assets to increase operational efficiencies • Monitor planned vs. actual, analyse results and report on variances as well as profitability

COMPETENCIES TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

Mechanical — Knowledge of mechanical equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Electrical — Knowledge of electrical equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Production and Mining — Knowledge of Mining, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective mining of product. English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language.
