POSITION INFO:

PURPOSE:

Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, MTBF and MTTR and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst mentoring and leading the department. Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.

Qualifications and Experience Levels

Millwright (Olifantsfontein Qualification advantageous)
N6 Qualificationadvantageous
Degree / Diploma or B Tech Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Advanced PLC programming and perform root cause analysis
Extensive plant level experience with significant proven man management experience
Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), lean manufacturing
Must have the ability to lead and manage a maintenance team
5 to 10 years experience working within a similar manufacturing environment
Experience of managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance
Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain
Understanding of IATF16949, TS14949, ISO9001 and ISO45001 standards
Understanding of written reports and make presentations
Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and decision making skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise Production Teams in a FMCG Automotive manufacturing environment.
Managing maintenance Teams in a automotive manufacturing environment.
Lean manufacturing and continues improvements.
OSH Act Auditor.
Project management
Bar code printing and packing machine
Strong management Skills
Warehouse Managment of component, packaging, machine parts and finished good.
