Food Processing Plant seeks a Trade Tested Millwright with FMCG/Food Processing/Bakery Experience. You will ensure the full functionality of all bakery machines and ensure machinery is utilized to full capacity and in working order. Planned maintenance executed and improved operational efficiency at all machines assigned to the position. Replacement and maintenance cost reduced i.r.o all machines assigned to the position. Ensure execution of preventative and emergency maintenance as per job cards. Electrical and mechanical overhauls. Rewiring of electrical machinery with a view of effecting improvements. Overhaul spare/old machinery to be available when breakdowns occur. Maintain and set up new machines. Assist Production on daily maintenance orders. Assist QA with an audit. You will need the ability to work at a very fast pace and be analytical. You will need to understand GMP, HACCP, and safety rules. Millwright and/or Electrician Qualification (Degree or Diploma), 4 years plant experience within an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) environment, working knowledge of Food Safety, Hygiene, and HACCP standards. You will need to work in a plant environment for extended periods of time (high temperature/high humidity environment) and you will need to work weekends and public holidays.
