Position Title: Millwright / Fitter
Location: Chamdor, Krugersdorp

MAIN PURPOSE:
Working in a manufacturing-orientated industry where you contribute to the effective and efficient assembly and maintenance of equipment.           
 
EDUCATION SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

• South African Trade tested as a Fitter (Mechanical).
• At least five years relevant post trade test experience of fitting with hydraulic systems.

• Microsoft office (advantageous)
• Syspro (advantageous)

• Assemble/build and repair equipment.
• Render technical assistance on all machinery as required by your supervisor/foreman.
• Thoroughly understand and apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot all types of machines. 
• Fluid control systems or demonstrate troubleshooting abilities. 
• Demonstrate integrated analytical and diagnostic skills in order to fault find, build, and repair equipment and machinery during production/operations processes. 
• Complex mechanical assemblies may include hydraulic and pneumatic on low profile mining machines.
• Maintain, overhaul and commission mechanical machines.
• Report any NCR’S to your foreman ASAP.
• Housekeeping - keep your workplace clean, tidy, and safe as this is a Legal Requirement.
• Where applicable, adjustments include close tolerance adjusting, repairing, re-adjustment, re-setting, and re-alignment.
• At all times carry the correct / relevant equipment / tools to do the require site work / services.
• Perform any reasonable task as required by your supervisor at any time.

• Monitoring and immediate reporting on spares stock shortages.
• Immediately report any abuse / negligence by the operators on any of the equipment.
• Comply with all SHEQ requirements, taking into account, the safety of others

• At least five years relevant post trade test experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understand advanced mechanical theory and interpret detailed engineering drawings and flow diagrams. 
• Highly developed mechanical orientation with associated hand skills. 
• Specialised technical skills (analytical and diagnostic). 
• Technology orientation in various contexts (Mechanical, control systems and information management). 
• Solve a variety of problems, both familiar and unfamiliar in terms of advanced mechanical theory and practice. 
• Experience in trackless machinery.
• Experience of the mining industry advantageous.
• Must have all round general knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures.
• Overhead crane, slinging & rigging experience/license advantageous.
• Experience in a customer service environment.

• At all times medically fit.
• Own tools.
• Always comply with all Company policy and procedures.
• Overtime and call-outs, when required
