SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Millwright who will contribute towards the business success by ensuring that machinery and equipment are installed and maintain according to the required standard.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is looking for a Millwright who will contribute towards the business success by ensuring that machinery and equipment are installed and maintain according to the required standard.

Area: Harrismith

Main Duties

Repair, install and manufacture equipment according to standard.
Maintain plant mechanical equipment to reduce downtime and increase plant availability.
Conduct regular inspection to identify and report all defective equipment.
Attend planned and abnormal standby duties and respond to breakdowns.
Prepare cables and electrical cables for maintenance or connection.
Maintain and repair electrical equipment according to the required standard.
Maintain and repair plant instrumentation and control system.
Perform general housekeeping according to the required standard.
Complete job cards and determine job requirements on the job cards.

Work Experience

Must have Grade 12 /N3 with mathematics and science.
Have relevant trade test
Have a valid driver’s license with own transport.
Have 3 years’ experience (preferably in a Paper Mill environment)

Pay attention to detail.
Be able to perform jobs on his/her own and as a team.
Results orientated Work Conditions
Overtime as required.
Work rotational shifts.
