JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities

Inspect and repair all electrical and mechanical equipment as per preventative maintenance schedule
Manage and initiate maintenance programs, ensure the equipment and plant is maintained and serviced correctly and efficiently
Exercise control over inventory and manage spare parts procurement
Ensure the workshop, personnel and contractors are managed efficiently
Coordinate and oversee all work done by contractors
Promote a safe working environment for all
Dismantle, move, assemble, install & align equipment and machinery
Attend to civil and domestic house repairs
Construct foundations for machines
Test units to evaluate electrical & mechanical operation
Set programmable logical circuits (PLC’s)
Test, calibrate and document instruments such as flowmeters and scales
Faultfinding and correction of process control equipment
Train and mentor apprentices and assistants
Actively improve and comply with occupational health, safety and environment standards
Assist with general administration duties

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualified Millwright having undergone apprenticeship
Experience in Poultry Farming Operations would be advantageous
Prepared to work standby, callouts and overtime
Strong leadership skills
Computer Literate
