SUMMARY:
Well established and growing company situated in Midrand urgently seeking a Millwright.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

Physically fit and healthy

The candidate we are looking for should be energetic, highly motivated, and a determined individuals.

Trade tested Millwright or Red Seal diesel mechanic or equivalent qualification, Wiremen’s license would be very beneficial

Minimum of 7+ years’ experience as a diesel tech

Industry experience – Compaction, generators and compressors

Ability to work long hours and over weekends if required

Travel to sites on breakdowns  

Minor and Major Services

Engine removal and replacement, stripping and assembly

Electrical and mechanical diagnostics

Electrical and mechanical servicing, repair and maintenance

Valid Driver’s license

Must read / write & speak English

Must have good communication skills

Must be able to multiple task and work on different projects i.e. plan and manage tasks and projects when required

Work standby

Roles and responsibilities as follows but not limited to;

➢ To carry out service/ repair and maintenance promptly and professionally on rental machines.

➢ Provide preventive and corrective mechanical and electrical servicing

➢ Effective Electrical diagnosis

➢ Issuing of COC when required

➢ Effectively diagnose mechanical and electrical faults

➢ To maintain inventory and test instruments, to ensure they remain in good condition

➢ Compiling and maintaining records of machine history

➢ Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports, job cards, timesheets and other necessary paperwork

➢ Ensuring that electrical equipment and machinery, repair schedules are met according to the scheduled time allocated

➢ Immediate diagnosis of the breakdown problem and identify a solution to the problem (Pre-requisite)

➢ Ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, electronic equipment is in good working order

➢ Responsible for the sourcing of quality and reasonably priced spares

➢ To apply good standards of engineering practice at all times.

➢ All maintenance and repairs are to be in line with the company standards

➢ Knowledge in quality management to be implemented

➢ To effectively promote the company image by representing the company in a professional manner at all times while performing all assigned tasks.

➢ To be aware of, and apply, Health and Safety regulations in the workshop

➢ Identifying and responding to safety hazards
