SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our meat processing facility. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing machinery used in meat processing operations. The role demands a meticulous approach to ensure the continuous and efficient functioning of equipment, thereby contributing to the overall productivity and quality of our operations.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on various machinery and equipment used in meat processing, including (but not limited to) grinders, slicers, packaging machines, and conveyors.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes of breakdowns, and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
•  Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in equipment maintenance and repair procedures, and actively participate in implementing these improvements
• Proven experience as a Millwright in a meat processing or similar industrial environment, with a strong understanding of meat processing equipment and machinery.
• Proficiency in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems relevant to meat processing equipment. Experience with welding, fabrication, and machining is highly desirable.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program in millwrighting or a related field is preferred.
• Additional technical training or certifications in mechanical or electrical systems is a plus.
