Millwright - Howick
Our client is seeking an experienced Millwright with fitting and electrical expertise to join a growing manufacturing concern in Howick.
POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:
- Install new machinery and equipment according to set specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Repair or replace faulty parts as needed
- Disassemble and reassemble machinery for maintenance or repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance to prolong the lifespan of machinery
- Always follow safety protocols and regulations
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work performed
Requirements:- Proven experience as a Millwright in a manufacturing setting
- Trade certification as a Millwright
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Excellent attention to detail and precision
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy machinery when required
