SUMMARY:
Established Hospital Group in the Southern Suburbs seeks a qualified and registered Midwife.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Matric
• Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse / Midwife
• Minimum 2-3 years experience
• Experience in a Private Hospital is advantageous
• Shift work compulsory
• Work overtime when required

Key Outputs:

• Clinical competence and strong quality patient care orientation
• BLS competent
• Supervise, orientate junior and perform teaching rounds with junior staff members and students
• Perform teaching rounds with junior staff members and students
• Competently administering oral, intramuscular and intravenous medication
• Competent in physical assessment
• Provide health education to patients and their families
• High energy levels and tolerance for stress/pressure
• Problem analysis/solving skills and accurate record keeping
• Adaptable and able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
• Ability to render basic nursing care without supervision
• Must be competent in neonatal and maternal resuscitation
• Good work management, planning and organising skills
• Liaison between, doctors, patients and personnel
• Ability to make critical clinical decisions
• Delegating tasks effectively
• Ability to advocate for patience
• Ad hoc duties
