Observatory, Cape Town - Our client, an international accounting firm with offices in Cape Town (Observatory), is celebrating a decade of growth and success. They are now looking for a Mid-Level Accountant to join their expanding team and contribute to their continued journey.
POSITION INFO:
Our client has grown into a dynamic international firm with a collaborative team across South Africa and Europe. Key Responsibilities
Working with a diverse portfolio of international clients (AU, EU, UK, SA), you will:
- Manage daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly accounting close tasks
- Prepare and submit VAT calculations and filings
- Prepare corporate tax schedules and submissions
- Assist junior colleagues with task completion
- Liaise with the financial reporting team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with CIPC requirements, SARS, and international accounting regulations
- Support senior colleagues with ad-hoc accounting and reporting tasks
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years’ experience in an accounting or bookkeeping firm (non-negotiable)
- Professional accounting qualification (PA(SA)
- Strong knowledge of VAT, CIPC requirements, SARS e-filing, and international regulations (AU/EU)
- Proficiency in MS Office, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, DEXT, Asana
- Highly structured, process-driven, and detail-oriented

Remuneration: R18 000 - R23 000 monthly + Benefits
