Our client in the northern suburbs of Cape Town is looking for an experienced Microsoft IT Technician to join their growing team of professionals.

Essential requirements for a successful career as a Microsoft IT Technician

• Microsoft Windows 10 skills
• Microsoft Office 365 skills
• Microsoft Server 2016 / 2019 skills
• Microsoft Hyper V (Virtualization) experience
• Microsoft 365 admin and portal ( SP, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive) skills
• The ability to configure desktop IT hardware and software.
• Setup a Client / Server network with a domain controller
• Server Hardware configuration – including different raid configuration
• Networking (VLAN, Routing, Switching)
• Strong knowledge of Anti-Virus software, computer management and automation policies.
• Strong understanding of Firewall''s and the working of such

Other Skills required:

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Ability to research problems and make recommendations as needed
• Ability to determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Must be able to work independently on routine assignments as well as conduct joint tasks within the team

Minimum Qualifications - requires a level of knowledge obtained through a combination of education, training and work experience:

• A+ or NET + certification + Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
