SUMMARY:
The Plant Metallurgist will be responsible for monitoring and improving plant performance, championing process optimisation, metallurgical accounting and reporting, production planning, project support, metallurgical test work and the operations teams across sites.

Requirements:
- Work experience in heavy/large manufacturing processes (Steel/Alloys/Metals)
- Quality Assurance and Control & Project Management
- Knowledge of Steel products and Smelting/Refining of other materials
- Product Optimisation (quality, yield, volume, and cost) & implementing business systems (rules/procedures) to resolve technical, system and metallurgical problems
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering
- Valid South African Driving License
Suitable candidate must also have the following work experience: - Minimum of 6 years' experience in a production plant
- Proven plant operation experience
- Computer literate
