Metrologist

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Metrologist for a Permanent position based in East London, Eastern Cape.

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• National Technical Certificate or qualified Artisan or Metrologist.
• Knowledge and understanding of GDNT Tolerancing
• 5 Years Metrology & CMM programming experience in an Automotive Component Manufacturing environment.
• Experience of Polyworks, PC DMIS and COSMOS software
• 5 years’ experience using all surface table and handheld measuring instruments

 

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Dimensional evaluation of components and assemblies
• Layout inspection of components to full drawing requirements
• Suggestion of countermeasure proposals
• Responsible for accuracy of recorded measurement data
• Part of new project development teams
• Development of measurement methods for individual components
• Timeous and accurate completion of ISIR, MDR and layout inspection reports
• Management of the component assessments
• Accountable for accuracy of the dimensional data recorded on ISIR’S / MDR’S.

 

Salary:  R20 000.00 per month
