Key Performance Areas
§ Checking in patients at the front desk
§ Answering the phone
§ Performs patient scheduling duties, billing, confirm appointments, process mail and input charges as well as high volume telephone interactions
§ Answer general billing questions while providing excellent customer service to patients.
§ Scheduling patients for the proper appointment & confirm appointments
§ Ensures patient register complete and admission packs compiled.
§ Process mail and input charges
§ Maintains sufficient stock levels and billing of stock.
§ Interviewing patients for case histories in advance of appointments
§ Compiling medical records and charts
§ Operating computer software and office equipment
§ Transferring lab results to the appropriate clinician
§ Maintaining supplies and appearance for the office
§ Good accuracy and attention to detail.
§ A Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
§ Prior experience will be an advantage.
§ Willingness to work long hours in accordance with the requirements of the Practice.
§ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Preferably Healthbridge and/or EMD, MY Practice
§ Competence in billing, charging and credit of stock and sound knowledge of stock control principles.
§ Own reliable transport (Essential)
