Our client a healthcare insurance provider is looking for an Operational and Reporting Administrator experienced in medical insurance and or medical aid operational processes and reporting. The ideal candidate should be able to handle technical data requirements and write SOPs.

Operational and Reporting Administrator

Our client a healthcare insurance provider is looking for an Operational and Reporting Administrator experienced in medical insurance and or medical aid operational processes and reporting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical and operational reporting and liaison with internal and external clients

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operational processes and procedures as well as project management and compliance requirements of the organisation.

• Guide operational processes by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; by documenting, explaining process techniques, and recommending actions.

• Assist with improving the operational system, processes and policies specifically support better management reporting, information flow and management.

• Assist with coordinating the day-to-day workflow in and out of the organisation to meet various SLA’s.

• Assist with improving methods to measure department performance and do training on benefits and procedures.

• Increase productivity by developing automated operational and accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.

• Assist with data collection, monitor and review data that is entered, checking for completion and accuracy and resolving any data quality issues based on best practice guidelines.

• Design and develop automated reports.

• Improves operational reports by analysing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials and recommending actions to management.

• Assist with Utilisation Management Reporting.

• Technical and operational assistance and liaison with internal and external audits.

• Maintain a high level of operational efficiency and management of risks as part of the operational team.

• Be accustomed to change management processes and procedures.

• Keeping abreast of industry, business and system changes.

Report examples include:

•             Develop, automate and maintain operational, utilisation and management reports.

•             Create and maintain operational business-reports / ad-hoc statistical investigations.

•             Develop and update project management reports.

Qualification & Experience

•             Bachelors in Computer Science or similar education.

•             At least two to five years’ experience in medical insurance and or medical aid operational processes and reporting.

•             A thorough understanding of SA’s medical terrain and legislation.

•             Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and to function well under pressure.

•             Strong organisation skills.

•             Ability to work both within a team and independently.

•             Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to deliver high-quality solutions.

•             Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.

•             Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•             Must be a result-oriented individual with a high level of integrity.

•             Ability to make sound decisions based on customer needs and technical knowledge.

•             Ability to proactively communicate detailed status to client and operational team.

•             Experience with full project management life cycle.

•             Working knowledge of financial analysis about operational systems.

•             Proficient with the entire Microsoft Office suite, i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Projects, and Excel.

•             Proficiency in SQL, VBA, Jasper software, Ireports a plus.

•             A thorough understanding of the operational administration system – MIP.
