SUMMARY:
Our client in the Automation industry is urgently looking to employ an experienced Electronic Technician at their organization
POSITION INFO:
Location: Tzaneen, Limpopo
Requirements:
- Electro-mechanical Trade Test (e.g. Millwright) or equivalent
- PLC and programming experience will be advantageous
- Electronic and IT knowledge or experience
- Must have technical experience with regards to industrial electricity and IT
- Must be fluent in Afrikaans
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a valid / renewable passport
- Must be willing to travel – mostly in South Africa but international travel will be a requirement from time to time
Responsibilities:- Installing, training, and commissioning new machinery from inception to completion focusing on:
o IT: wiring connection
o Electronics: Setting, testing, and training - Reduce and minimize minor stoppages and time loss due to operational stops by providing after sales service, focusing on:
o Electronic and IT assistance
o Electrical repairs and adjustments - Assist packhouses to adjust machines to sort different fruits and vegetables: Citrus,Avocado, Tomato, Blueberry, Cherry Apple, Stone Fruits, Mango.
- Deal and follow up on costumer queries and complaints
- Provide detailed feedback to the group to implement technical solutions.
- Encourage a “learn from experience” culture within the technical team by sharing and re-applying technical knowledge to improve efficiency of the team.
