POSITION INFO:

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To facilitate practical aspects of the learning process for engineering undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Mechatronics Department, using laboratory technical equipment.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: Perform mechatronics laboratory practical work and related administration Supervise and assist mechatronics learners during practical exercises Provide technical support for NQF L8 final year projects Maintain mechatronics engineering laboratory equipment Conduct research experiments Mechatronic laboratory development
CORE COMPETENCIES
Relevant experience in managing engineering laboratories is advantageous. Good communication skills and presentation skills
REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate three year degree/diploma or related qualification. A BTech/BEngTech/BEng qualification is advantageous.
