SUMMARY:
Independently run and contribute to complex designs and detailed drafting on large scale projects for a leader in the Aerospace and defense industry.

POSITION INFO:

Prepare complete sets of complex drawings and computer models

Prepares CAD and drawings for mechanical systems and aircraft structural components

Use mathematical formulas to calculate weight, center of gravity, load capacity, dimensions and BOM

Able to reach design goals through visual and verbal inputs and changes

Independently resolve problems along the design process

Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 5-10 years experience draughting withing aerospace/defense industry

Minimum of 5 years experience in CATIA or Solid works drafting

Proficient in various drafting software (CREO, AutoCAD, Solid works, CATIA, Unigraphics or Visio)

Responsible and self-sufficient working on projects individually and able to form part of a bigger team

Proactive and abstract problem solver

Proven time management skills on project deadlines

Qualification:

Degree or related qualification in drafting (Essential)

Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
