Mechanical Technician

In the position of Mechanical/Electrical Technician your priorities are plant availability and product quality at the right cost.  You will be responsible for Safety & Equipment integrity as well as the maintenance, repair and optimization of the plant and all associated equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

×          Trade Test Qualification – Mechanical/Electrical/Millwright.

×          Experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment.

×          N6 Preferrable

×          Technical proficiency across asset lifecycle design, installation, commissioning, and plant operation.

×          Good working understanding of electrical and mechanical principles that support equipment operations.

×          Good understanding of quality assurance principles, standard requirements and the set of processes and activities used for measuring, controlling and ensuring the quality of products and processes.

×          Strong aptitude for dealing with ambiguity, managing multiple projects, and balancing competing priorities.

×          Passionate about plant-based food.

×          Strong work ethic and decision-making capabilities.

×          Strong communication, collaboration, and delegation skills. Ability to motivate and inspire people.

×          Strong working knowledge of operational procedures.

×          Nice to have:  experience in dry or wet extrusion in food industry.
