JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client has an opportunity available for a Mechanical Production Assistant.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with Mathematics and either science or a related technical subject.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
  • Ability to handle and manipulate small components.
  • Hand Tools Knowledge.
  • Good Housekeeping skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Knowledge on the usage of measuring equipment.
  • Timekeeping skills.
  • Willingness to work beyond normal office hours when required.
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and Wiring.
  • Building of Prototypes.
  • Operation and setting of CNC routers.
  • Operation of:
    • UV printer.
    • Laser cutter.
    • Powder coating plant.
    • Vacuum forming machine.
  • Routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
  • Assist in new designs.
  • Stock Control.
  • Quality control and assurance.
