SUMMARY:
Mechanical systems and process controlling is of vital importance to water treatment equipment, systems and related products. It is a role that requires a deep understanding of the products and services offered by the business and its competitors. Mechanical fitters are expected to act with the highest moral and ethical standards, in a trustworthy manner whilst also protecting the intellectual property, goodwill and confidentiality of the company’s information and methodologies.
Successful execution of the role of a Mechanical Fitter subject to the roles and responsibilities assigned to this individual, is based on the achievement of performance KPIs, and the diligent and timeous execution of the roles and responsibilities assigned to the Mechanical Fitter.
Each function assigned to the Mechanical Fitter carries an important contribution to the success of the business and the goal of being market leading in every way and achieving the highest standards of quality and service.
The key areas of focus within the role include, but are not limited to mechanical fitting and turning, project management, business intelligence, and training.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role of Mechanical Fitter, subject to operational requirements and completely at the discretion and approval of the Executive, may include one or more of the following functions in strict accordance with the company’s policies.
- Adhere to strict occupational health and safety guidelines
- Follow instructions and perform other duties as required
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
- Assist in the selection and collection of appropriate, materials, methods, equipment, and tools necessary to complete the job
- Complete products by washing, cleaning, painting etc.
- PVC related pipework building
- HDPE related pipework building
Any other mechanical fitting and turning tasks not listed above but necessary for the successful completion of product builds

Grade 12
Red Seal
3-5 Years’ experience in mechanical fitting and plumbing (pipe fitting)
Code 8 driver’s license, forklift license
