Our client is a biotech start-up set up as a Special Purpose Vehicle with a vision to mitigate GHG emissions using the biological pathway of utilizing captured CO2 to cultivate Microalgae from which high-value biochemicals, food ingredients and food supplements are extracted. The company has launched its Series “A” Fundraising to finance the construction of a Demonstration plant as part of the long-term development Master Plan that will lead to the construction of several Microalgae biorefineries in the country and beyond borders. In preparation for the start of construction and operations, the company needs a full complement of staff from a Project Manager (General Manager designate) to factory floor cleaner. We are looking for innovative and motivated scientific personnel interested in joining a team that seeks to make a difference in the food and food ingredients markets.

The purpose of the position

All round electrical maintenance of the production plant

Minimum Requirements and Skills

The following trade tested qualifications will be considered:

Mechanical Fitter / Diesel Fitter / Diesel Mechanic / Marine Plumber
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience.
Must be qualified with a valid trade test certificate.
Ability and acumen to work independently.
Strong mechanical background.
A good knowledge and strong commitment to Health and Safety processes.
Sound communication skills.

Main Responsibilities

To diagnose problems and make repairs to existing equipment.
To apply troubleshooting methods, replace parts and run tests to ensure the systems is working properly following repairs.
