Mechanical Fire Technologist

SUMMARY:
Are you passionate about Mechanical Building Services? An emerging consultancy in Johannesburg is looking for an experienced Building Services Engineer to specialize in Fire Engineering, where you will be working on exciting, located projects responsible for Fire Protection systems design and site inspections.

POSITION INFO:

Consulting and project management for fire safety and fire system design

Fire Protection Design

Preparing tender documentation and specifications for fire protection systems

Site Supervision and Site Inspections

Fee proposals, time management, and resource management

Working in a team conducting technical designs, site inspections

Meeting with clients

Meeting with authorities to discuss safety regulations for projects

Skills & Experience:

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Knowledge and experience in all local fire safety codes, SANS 10400, ASIB, SANS 10139, etc

Must have excellent problem-solving capabilities

Must have excellent knowledge and use of scientific rules and methods to solve problems

Willingness to learn

Efficient time management skills

CAD design skills

Minimum 3 – 5 years experience

Qualification:

BSc/BEng/BTech/NDip Mechanical Engineering

Must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
