Mechanical Engineering Foreman (Dry Section) – Mbombela (Nelspruit)

POSITION INFO:

The job incumbent will manage, lead and control Mechanical Engineering maintenance activities.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION REGARDING THE JOB:

This position is a great opportunity for the incumbent to display his/her skills in resolving challenges associated with people management, mechanical maintenance and cost management. The incumbent will be responsible for the Milling, Calcining and Leaching areas that form part of the Solution Preparation Dry Section, as well as the various equipment in this section. The incumbent will lead a team of Fitters and Boilermakers as well as engage with service providers that are contracted to perform maintenance activities in the Solution Preparation Dry Section. The Individual will most importantly enjoy the satisfaction of being part of the world’s only team that delivers the Company brand of Electrolytic Manganese Metal (EMM) to our niche customers all over the world. 

JOB OBJECTIVES:

Support achievement of the operational plan.
Participate in management of the specific plan for the relevant section.
Ensure plant/process is fully operational.
Project Management.
Adherence & Compliance to all HSEQ legislation, policy & procedures.
Supervising the team.
Adhere to section cost control measures.
Perform administrative tasks as required.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification in Engineering.
Computer Literacy (Basic, Intermediate).
Relevant Trade Test (Mechanical).
5 Years relevant working experience.
Code 08 Drivers License.
Experience in CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
