Mechanical Engineer

Design systems on solid works or other CAD software, both 3D models and manufacturing drawing
Assisting the Sales team with the demand for technical support
Assisting Sales team with detailed/budget proposals for systems enquires
Submitting technical tenders on project opportunities
Submit to Buying department – Bill of Materials to purchase for a system build and manage the delivery thereof
Manage customer expectations to meet Systems delivery times
Project Manage Systems from order to completion
Drive positive customer service through appropriate attitude and action
Complete the required reports on time (weekly and monthly)
Develop and implement strategies with the technical team
On-site problem solving as a supporting function for Sales
Expand the systems offering within the various segments
Assist with training of customers and colleagues
Regular presentations to customers
Attendance and assisting at trade shows/exhibitions
Work in all sectors of the market (petrochemical, health, food processing, beverage, automotive, plastics, paper, wood, etc.)
Focus on systems work to provide the business with a constant supply of systems to put out
Reduce costs and increase the profitability of the business
The smooth and lean running of your area is your responsibility. You are to formulate, implement and control all
procedures required to perform tasks
Any other duties as requested by senior management
Do training every month and add to training register before the end of the month
Contribution towards development of the company, in line with the business plan
Achievement of business plan targets and alignment to company core values in particular
 
Skills & Experience:
Solidworks experience
Minimum of 3 years experience  
Experience in any industrial market: Food, plastics, packaging, automotive, oil & gas, FMCG or wastewater
Experience in Project Management (proposals, buying, facilitating etc)
Experience in FDA standards, hygienic design standards etc. in any industry
Confidence skills
Good communication skills
Energetic and motivated
 
Qualification:
BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering
 
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
