POSITION INFO:

Well-established manufacturer of commercial trailers seeks to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for product development and design.

For the position you would be required to have:

  • B. Eng/ B. Sc/ B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • Around 5 years'' experience in mechanical parts and component design with stress analysis (preferably automotive, heavy engineering, trailer environment)
  • Software: MS Office, AutoCad, Inventor, FEA software and Nesting software

Responsibilities would include you to:

  • Product development and design
  • Project management
  • Stress analysis
  • Load distributions and general arrangement drawings
  • Implement drawing standards
  • Manage draughtsmen
  • Manage and maintain products
  • Bills of Material (BOM''s)
  • Create nestings for plasma cutting

On offer is a salary of around R520k per annum
