Mechanical Engineer

SUMMARY:
Do you have leadership capabilities? Use your manufacturing experience to lead a team. In this role, you will be responsible for making sure all orders are processed in a timely manner. If you are passionate about customer satisfaction, project management and have attention to detail, this is an ideal role for you.

POSITION INFO:

Responsible for all order processing

Responsible for verifying incoming orders in terms of equipment selection, engineering and component specifications

Process change orders in order to review technical accuracy of items

Responsible for checking list prices and correctness

Responsible for taking control of the order process flow of international orders that require special coordination

Responsible for leading large projects and coordinate efforts between departments

Making sure all TPT’s are respected and overdues are followed up with

Collecting and analysing technical information regarding product improvements and must propose solutions

Responsible for developing special information for internal use

Assisting in customer visit and plant tours for company presentations

Skills & Experience:  

Ability to work under strict deadlines

Ability to collaborate with other departments

Excellent communication (written and verbal)

Computer literate (MS Office)

ERP package experience is advantageous

Must have strong project management skills

Excellent problem-solving capabilities

Must be a people person and able to coach and manage individuals effectively

Must be customer focused with effective communication skills

Must be able to prioritise and have a strong sense of urgency

Attention to detail and excellent planning capabilities

Must be a Team player

Must be able to oversee several projects at once and handle them efficiently

Must be eager to learn and improve

Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience

Qualification:

BSc / BEng / BTech Mechanical Engineering

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
