Mechanical Engineer, Refrigeration, HVAC, wet services

POSITION INFO:

Largest Design and Supply of Industrial Refrigeration company is looking to employ an engineer to add continued strength to the projects arm of the company. The candidate will be trained and guided by the best technically minded engineers within the company (and industry) to ensure continued value to the company’s clients and the industry it serves.

Responsibilities include:

ï‚· Designing and costing of refrigeration systems

ï‚· Project management of contracts and service related jobs

ï‚· Ensure detailed planning and proactive procurement of material and resources

ï‚· Liaising with client’s technical management teams to formalise detailed quotations relating to maintenance or plant upgrades

ï‚· Monitor quality of work as carried out by subcontractors

ï‚· Manage subcontractors and project teams to ensure successful execution of projects

ï‚· Ensure administrative closing of projects and invoicing thereof within correct periods

ï‚· Ensure projects and jobs are done within budget and on time

Candidate profile:

ï‚· Tertiary education within mechanical engineering field (Degree or diploma)

ï‚· Strong mechanical ability and understanding of refrigeration systems

ï‚· Able to work well with various people and cultures

ï‚· Must have at least 3-4 years work experience within an engineering and project management environment

ï‚· Able to communicate well with clients of different backgrounds

ï‚· Must be able to manage sub-contractors and suppliers in order to abide to client expectations

ï‚· Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams

ï‚· Able to do design calculations and selecting the correct equipment

ï‚· Computer literate (Excel, SAP, MS Project etc)

ï‚· Willing to travel nationally and internationally at short notice

ï‚· Willing to work overtime and over weekends

ï‚· Able to excel in a fast paced and pressured environment.

ï‚· Must be self-driven and passionate about project management
