Mechanical Draughtsman (Piping)

SUMMARY:
Are you a Mechanical Draughtsman with experience in the Steam and Boiler project industry? Here is a great opportunity to join a reputable company, where you will use your design skills to produce boiler sub-systems and equipment layouts according to specifications and standards.

POSITION INFO:

You will be responsible for As-built measure up and drawings

Boiler sub-system and equipment design

Performing site inspections

Producing drawings for projects and tenders

Creating P & IDs, GA, ISO and detailed drawings of Boiler parts, piping ducting, electrical control panels and wiring

Liaising with clients and consultants to coordinate designs

Setting up and managing 3D CAD systems

Assisting with new product development

Producing Bill of Materials

Skills & Experience:  

Must have the ability to work well under pressure

The ideal candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good Problem-solving Capabilities

Ability to take ownership of ones work and responsibilities

Must be Computer literate (MS Office)

Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Inventor, Navis Works and MEP

Experience in industrial and commercial projects environment

Experience in steam and boiler project industry

Ability to Read and interpret Engineering Drawings

Knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO3834 Quality Control Systems is advantageous

Qualification:

Multi-Disciplinary Draughting Qualification

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
