Well-established manufacturer of conveyor systems seeks to employ a Mechanical Draughtsman.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Well-established manufacturer of conveyor systems seeks to employ a Mechanical Draughtsman. You will use CAD programs to translate engineering specs and design information into schematics and technical drawings for manufacturing, assembly and installation.

For the position you would be required to have:

Minimum of Grade 12/ Matric
National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Multi-disciplinary drawing office practice diploma (N4-N5)
Minimum of 5 years draughting experience in manufacturing/production
Experience with: moving components, pumps, bearings, axels, heat treatment specifications and material selection
Solid Edge experience

Responsibilities would include you to:

Detail engineering parts and assemblies as per spec
Draw new and existing engineering designs
Draw machine and plant layouts
Compile, maintain and hand over of BOM's for procurement
Control acceptable draughting standards and configuration of drawings
Ensure accurate record keeping and drawing documentation
Ensure all drawings are up to date and complete when data pack is issued for production
Configure and administer new and existing machine manuals
