Mechanical Design Draughtsman - Germiston Area

SUMMARY:
Well established Industrial Equipment Manufacturer is looking for a Mechanical Design Draughtsman with Inventor and AutoCAD to join their team

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Understand and know how to read a produce technical drawings
• Drawing package knowledge Inventor and AutoCAD
• A proven track record in a similar environment
• Manage and schedule drawing projects to delivery dates
• Minimum of 2 years of drawing working as a Mechanical Design Draughtsman using Inventor
• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Draughting equivalent advantageous. 
• Exposure to manufacturing environment.
• Should be able to perform simple mechanical calculations.
• Computer literacy in MS Office packages
• Experience with ERP / BOM systems would be an advantage

BEHAVIOURAL CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED

• Excellent planning and organizing skills are essential
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, written and verbal
• Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings to Engineering standards
• Attention to detail
• Resourceful and efficient under pressure

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF KEY PERFORMANCE

• Design and draw to specification General Arrangement and shop detail drawings
• Interact with sales on customer requirements
• Modify and revise designs to correct and reduce production problems
• Generate and check BOM to the drawing produced.
