Mechanic Technician (Millwright)

SUMMARY:
Our client in the in the personal care manufacturing space is looking for an experienced Mechanic Technician (Milwright) to join their Durban team.

POSITION INFO:

Key Requirements:

• Apply knowledge and expertise of electrical/mechanical principles during breakdowns, maintenance of machines and daily operation of the manufacturing process
• Apply welding knowledge and skill during breakdowns, projects, modifications and maintenance
• Monitor condition of pneumatic and hydraulic systems to prevent breakdowns
• Stay current with latest technological developments and relevant machinery regulations
• Analyse wear and tear trends on materials to prevent future breakdowns
• Understand relationships between various material types, product types and environmental conditions

• Millwright Trade Test
• National Diploma and/or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Must have experience maintaining Tube-Sealers, Labellers, and Filling-Machines or similar type of machinery
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience working in an FMCG type environment
• Must have 3 to 8 years overall Mechanic Technician experience
