SUMMARY:
Our Client is currently recruiting for a Mechanic who will be responsible for maintenance both corrective and preventative on all vehicles.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 or N3 Level
• Valid Code EB driver’s license
• Qualification as either Petrol or Diesel Mechanic
• Minimum 5 years work experience with Trucks
• Minimum 5 years work experience with Forklift repairs
• Operational Agility
• Management of a team
• Work systematic and in an organized manner
• Diagnostic skills
• Work ethic
• Problem-solving skills
• Technical aptitude
• A wide array of knowledge

 

DUTIES INCLUDE

• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, identifying worn and damaged parts
• Reconditions and replaces parts, such as pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and bushings, using engine lathes, boring machines, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Corrects vehicles deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems and performing preventive maintenance.
• Daily management of vehicle service centre assistance in terms of time management and productive
• Ensure all regulatory requirements, standards, company systems, procedures and policies are met in all actions on company premises.
• Maintain safe work environment by ensuring all pre inspections and safe checks are done, all machine or electrically operated machinery are locked out and relevant permits are obtained (where required in case of hazardous tasks) before commencement of any job o task
