SUMMARY:
Do you have sales experience in the fresh Meat / Chicken etc. sector?
Our very well-established National Meat Wholesaler client requires your expertise to join their dynamic sales team to expand their footprint in the marketplace.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS:
Matric with own transport and drivers license
Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the meat/chicken industry in external sales calling on clients
Strong general knowledge of food services industry
Must have own transport and valid driver license
Must have excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken

DUTIES:
Managing & achieving sales volumes, targets & KPI’s
Promoting of sales, calling on new clients sourcing & acquiring new business and building strong customer relationships
Generate new business opportunities within the current key accounts
Identify key customers and manage the sales cycle accordingly
Negotiating sales and pricing
Arrange promotions week/weekends and ensure this is properly communicated and actioned
Ensure orders are taken accurately and priced correctly
Maintaining recommended selling prices
Educating & presenting to outlet owners
Managing sales queries
Manage the debtors age analysis ensuring customers are settling their accounts within the required time frame
Liaison with team members to provide assistance with customer service where needed
Manage allocated customer base to meet monthly sales targets
Assist with invoicing of customers or any administration requirements that need assistance
Manage reports including activity logs, call sheets on a weekly basis
Conduct research and compile a report on competitive products
Gather of marketing intelligence that could be useful to company and monitor competitive activities that are happening within the trade.
