Materials Production Planner - manufacturing FMCG

SUMMARY:
My client is seeking an experience production planner for their facility in Nigel.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• A Diploma in any Commercial or related industries

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Production Environment environment
• 3 years hands-on experience in relevant SAP modules (MRP, Inventory and Purchasing)

Skills & Knowledge:

• Good communication and people skills to interact with internal and external customers.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
• Excellent SAP knowledge of MRP and Inventory Management modules.
• Good overview knowledge of the entire product supply process including production lines, capacities and contamination prevention.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing requirements on a regular basis
• Ability to work under pressure with tight timelines.
• Advanced knowledge in MS Excel; MS Word and MS PowerPoint an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• To use netted country demands in the logistics SAP system, based on sales forecast for local and Southern African countries and various Passive and Active Tollers to produce a detailed production plan and adapt this plan to short term changes.
• To ensure production processes based on requirements are processed and that stocks are produced as per the required plan. This must be done in close relation with Forecast Manager and Toll customers as well as the production plant and warehouse.
• To validate the netted country demands on site level. These are based on the sales forecast or tolling requirements.
• To create an extensive production plan on detailed material level, aligning all resources -materials, people and machines and to update regularly based on availability of these resources.
• To analyse and determine netted demand for bulk including packing down, active ingredients for formulation in Nigel, and Finished products (SAP and APO). To create and adjust process orders.
• To act as an interface between Sales and production in the short-term planning horizon.
• To confirm requested delivery date to sales and ensure on -time delivery of customer orders.
• To interface effectively across Product Supply functions in order to ensure smooth performance and on -time-in-full product supply locally as well as Southern African countries.
• Align the open process orders and planned production orders from SAP into APO to reflect netted demand, with manual adjustments where required.
