Material Expeditor (6 months)

SUMMARY:
Our client in the automotive sector seeks to employ a Material Expeditor to join their logistics team on a temporary 6 months' contract basis.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements:

- Recognised Degree or Diploma in Logistics
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Logistics in the Automotive Industry
- Basic Computer skills
- Must have strong problem-solving skills
- Be able to work under pressure
- Have good attention to detail and work well with figures (solid Mathematical skills)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING QUALITY RELATED ACTIVITIES:

- Review and Analyse MRP recommendations and problems solving within the Logistics function
- Co-ordinate Logistics activities within ERP system and provide support and ongoing development of effective procurement practices
- Expediting Releases against Due Dates (Local) or Collection Dates (Imports) by way of proven and effective communication and negotiation with suppliers
- Monitor and follow up of stock reduction program (progress chasing)
- Monitoring Stock accuracy. Actual vs System
