POSITION INFO:

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent

• Tertiary qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain

• Studying towards a formal qualification would be advantageous

Job Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ experience in the same or similar position in a manufacturing environment

• Experience working on a procurement system

• JDE experience would be advantageous

• Microsoft Office proficiency

• Experience in a Plastic Processing environment would be advantageous

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Fully manage (Inbound/Outbound) the levels on Raw Materials and Packaging/Returnable Packaging

• Assist the Production planner with details on the Stock on hand as well as, production expectancy with on hand material to ensure planning is done as accurately as possible
• Ensuring all materials received is GRV’d immediately

• Issuing of Raw packaging and returnables to production on a daily basis.

• Receipting and issuing of scrap in line with SOPs

• Provide weekly recons of issue and receipt of materials

• Work closely with the Stock Controller and ensure all variances are investigated, reported and corrected.

• Ensure all processing is fully completed prior to month end including GRN’s/GRV’s, manuals and all other document processing relating to materials management

• Conduct all reporting under your direct control

• Ensure control environment is maintained and correct processes are followed as detailed per SOPs.

• Ensure all documentation is signed, stamped and filed correctly

• Ensure the materials management environment operates at the highest standards at all times.

• Advise on foreseeable shortages that will impact the business in advance to ensure sufficient reaction time

• Practising FIFO on Raw Materials – Monitoring aging stock

• Ensuring that stock levels are properly monitored and recorded to ensure prior stock orders before stock runs out

• Ensure all documentation is signed off by the Stock Controller and filed correctly

• Attend, supply relevant information and play an active role in the weekly planning meeting

• Serving customers in a manner that ensures that Company objectives are met

• Taking corrective and preventative action wherever necessary during the execution of your duties

• Partake in other duties that may be reasonably expected

• Be aware of and apply all company policies and procedures in so far as it relates to employment condition
