JOB DESCRIPTION:

An exciting opportunity awaits a successful Marketplace Accountant who wants to build a stable career with a large Retail / FMCG organisation. If you are looking for a great working environment that is challenging and rewarding then this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

Develop, adapt and implement new processes and procedures as well as the maintenance thereof, to integrate the marketplace business unit into new/existing ERP system.
Implement, controls and measurements to mitigate financial risk within a hyper-growth environment
Continuous implementation of automated processes to scale with business needs
Work closing with internal and external stakeholders, to align on single processes and procedures relating to the business unit
Managing the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial aspects of the seller onboarding and maintenance process, including continuing development of the process at scale
Full ownership of the payment cycle to ensure complete and accurate payments processing of Marketplace sellers
Preparation and reporting of business unit KPI
Quality review of monthly seller reconciliations, including management and control aging
Month-end procedures and reporting (income statement + balance sheet + operational reporting)
Work with operations and compliance departments to manage finance-related risk.
Work closely with internal business stakeholders, including Retail, Marketplace, Supply Chain, Logistics and Engineering

Requirements:

Relevant B.com degree- Honours would be advantageous
SAICA / SAIPA articles
3 - 5 Years relevant experience in a similar finance role
Proven experience in implementing systems/processes to mitigate financial risk
High proficiency in advanced Excel
Experience in Retail / FMCG / Marketplaces advantageous
MySQL/Looker/Qliksense experience advantageous
